The following notices give you an overview of which of your data is collected on our websites, how this data is used and shared, how you can obtain information about the data you have provided to us, and which security measures we take to protect your data.

2. Which data do we need from you for the use of our websites? Which data is collected and stored during use?
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”), such as your name, your address, your telephone number, your date of birth, your bank details and your IP address.
As a matter of principle, we collect and use personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The collection and use of our users' personal data generally takes place only with the user's consent. An exception applies in cases in which obtaining prior consent is not possible for practical reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by statutory provisions.
Usage data
When you use our websites, the following data is logged server-side in log files, with storage serving exclusively internal system-related and statistical purposes (so-called usage data):
Names of the pages accessed, the browser used, the operating system and the requesting domain, date and time of access, search engines used, names of downloaded files and your IP address. Further personal data is only collected if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example in the course of an inquiry via the contact form on our website or in the course of an email inquiry.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the log files is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO).
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user's computer. For this purpose, the user's IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.
Storage in log files takes place to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data serves to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in the data processing under Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO).
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Where data is collected for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.
Where data is stored in the log files of our hosting provider, this is the case after 30 days at the latest; the log files are then deleted automatically. The logged data is not evaluated for purposes other than the technical and security-related purposes mentioned (functionality of the site, prevention of misuse). The log file data is not merged with other data sources.
The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is strictly necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility for the user to object.
Contacting us
You can contact us via the email address provided or via the other communication channels listed under Contact. In this case, the personal data of the user transmitted with the email or by other means is stored.
We use your data solely to process your matter and may contact you for this purpose using the contact details provided.
The legal basis for the processing of data transmitted in the course of sending an email or via other means of communication is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO). If the contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b GDPR (DSGVO).
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. For personal data sent by email or by other means, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended. The conversation has ended when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter concerned has been conclusively resolved.
Right to object
If the user contacts us, they may object to the processing of their personal data at any time using the contact details stated above. In such a case, the conversation cannot be continued.
All personal data processed in the course of contacting us will be deleted in this case.
3. How is my data used and, where applicable, shared with third parties, and for what purpose?
We use the personal data you provide to answer your inquiries and for the purpose of the technical administration of our websites.
Your personal data is only shared with or otherwise transferred to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of contract performance or for billing purposes or the collection of fees, or if you have expressly consented.
The legal basis for the transfer of data to third parties for the purpose of contract performance or for billing purposes is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b GDPR (DSGVO). For transfers in cases required by law, e.g. to law enforcement authorities or for the enforcement of intellectual property rights, the legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c GDPR (DSGVO).
4. Which security measures have we taken to protect your data?
We have taken a variety of security measures to protect personal data to an appropriate and adequate extent.
Our databases are protected by physical and technical measures as well as procedural measures that restrict access to the information to specially authorized persons in accordance with this privacy policy. Our information system is located behind a software firewall to prevent access from other networks connected to the internet. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific task are given access to personal data. Our employees are trained in security and data protection practices.
When collecting and transferring data via our websites, we use standardized SSL encryption technology. Personal data is transmitted on our website with SSL encryption, recognizable by the padlock symbol in the browser and the prefix “https://” in the address bar.
In the case of communication by email, we cannot guarantee complete data security.
5. When you use our websites, a cookie is placed on your computer. What does that mean?
We use so-called cookies on our websites. Cookies are small amounts of data in the form of text information that the web server sends to your browser. They are stored on your device. Cookies can only be read by the server that previously placed them and receive information about what you viewed on a website and when. Cookies themselves only identify the IP address of your computer and do not store any personal information, such as your name. The data stored in the cookies is not linked to your personal data (name, address, etc.).
We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require that the requesting browser can be identified even after a page change. For this purpose, we use exclusively technically necessary session cookies, in which no personal data is stored. The cookie expires at the end of the respective session.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO).
The aforementioned purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in the use of cookies and the data processing carried out through them under Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO).
Cookies are stored on the user's computer and transmitted from it to our site. Therefore, you as the user also have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our website, it may no longer be possible to use all functions of the website to their full extent.
6. Embedded third-party content (YouTube)
On our website, the video channel of Chan-jo Jun on YouTube is embedded on the page /social. A list of the most recently published videos and the associated preview images (thumbnails) is displayed. The list is retrieved server-side by our website via the channel's public RSS feed and cached at 30-minute intervals; this retrieval does not involve any data transfers between your browser and YouTube.
The preview images of the videos, however, are loaded directly from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com) into your browser. When these preview images are loaded, your IP address and standard browser information (e.g. user agent, referrer) are, for technical reasons, transmitted to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Processing takes place in part in the USA; an adequacy decision of the EU Commission is in place.
If you click on a video, you will be redirected to youtube.com. From that point on, Google's privacy policy (Google LLC or Google Ireland Limited) applies. Information on how YouTube handles your data can be found in Google's privacy policy.
The legal basis for embedding the YouTube preview images is our legitimate interest in an appealing and informative presentation of our media content (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Other third-party services (in particular X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) are not embedded in this website; links lead exclusively to the respective platform profiles.
Google Maps (two-click solution)
On the page /standort we offer to embed an interactive map of our firm's location. The map is provided via Google Maps (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is not loaded automatically, but only after your express, active consent by clicking the corresponding button (“Load map”).
When you click the button, data is transferred to Google, in particular your IP address, browser and device information, possibly location data of your device, and technical connection data for rendering the map. Google may, under certain circumstances, process this data for its own purposes (in particular usage analysis, personalization). Processing takes place in part in the USA; an adequacy decision of the EU Commission is in place (EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
The legal basis for the embedding is your consent under Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR (DSGVO) and § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG. The consent applies only to the current browser session; no cookie or local storage entry is set. On your next page visit, you will need to consent again.
You can also open the map at any time without consent as an external link in a new tab — in that case, the data transfer takes place exclusively via your browser to Google, not via our website. Information on how Google handles your data can be found in Google's privacy policy.
7. Data subject rights
If personal data concerning you is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR (DSGVO) and you have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
Access, rectification, restriction of processing and erasure
You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about the data stored about you by us, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing via our websites. In addition, you have the right to rectification, erasure and restriction of the processing of your personal data, provided the statutory requirements for this are met.
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us as the controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. We can fulfill this right, for example, by providing a CSV export of the data processed about you.
Right to notification
If you have asserted the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing vis-à-vis the controller, the controller is obligated to communicate this rectification or erasure of the data or restriction of processing to all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you was disclosed, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.
You have the right vis-à-vis the controller to be informed about these recipients.
Right to object
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. e or lit. f GDPR (DSGVO); this also applies to profiling based on those provisions.
The controller shall no longer process the personal data concerning you unless the controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
In the context of the use of information society services, and notwithstanding Directive 2002/58/EC, you may exercise your right to object by automated means using technical specifications.
Withdrawal of consent under data protection law
In addition, you may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future by contacting us using the contact details stated above.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement, if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR (DSGVO).
The supervisory authority with which the complaint has been lodged shall inform the complainant of the progress and the outcome of the complaint, including the possibility of a judicial remedy pursuant to Art. 78 GDPR (DSGVO).
