Which risk category does
your AI fall into?

CAILEE — Compliance & AI Law Evaluation Engine by JUN Legal — is an interactive online tool that helps you understand the rules of the EU AI Act and classify your AI systems accordingly. Through targeted questions, CAILEE determines whether your software falls within the scope of the Act and which risk category it belongs to.

Four risk levels.

[ Risk-based approach ]
01

Unacceptable risk

Prohibited. AI practices considered a clear threat to fundamental rights and safety — such as social scoring or manipulative systems — are banned in the EU.

02

High risk

Strictly regulated. Systems in sensitive areas are subject to extensive obligations: risk management, technical documentation, human oversight, and conformity assessment.

03

Limited risk

Transparency obligations. Users must be able to recognize when they are interacting with AI — for example, with chatbots — and AI-generated content must be labeled accordingly.

04

Minimal or no risk

Largely unrestricted. The vast majority of AI applications — such as spam filters — are not subject to any special requirements under the AI Act.

EU AI Act

With the EU AI Act, a comprehensive legal framework for artificial intelligence entered into force on August 1, 2024 — it applies in stages and is intended to make AI in the EU safe and trustworthy.

Check your
AI system with CAILEE.

Quickly and easily check whether your AI systems fall under the rules of the AI Act and which obligations come with them. This lets you identify potential legal risks early and take targeted measures to comply with the requirements.

Given the possible consequences — from substantial fines to market bans for certain AI applications — CAILEE offers a valuable initial orientation. The tool does not replace individual legal advice.
